Santa Sleigh Routes 2026
Follow the Santa Sleigh as it travels through Watford, spreading festive cheer and raising funds.
Find out when Santa's sleigh will be visiting your area this December! Below are the planned routes and supermarket collection dates for Christmas 2026.
Week One
Tuesday 1 December – Lemonfield, Bucknalls Lane and Coates Way
Start: 1 Lemonfield Drive
Along Lemonfield Drive, 2nd right to Mutchetts Close, 2nd left to Chichester Way, Cranefield Drive, turn left to Bucknalls Lane, Tudor Manor Gardens (both legs if possible).
Along North Orbital (no collections). Turn left to Coates Way and do the full length.
Finish: 3 Coates Way
Thursday 3 December – Garston Lane and The Avenues
Start: 3 Cuffley Avenue
Start at Cuffley Avenue, Bovingdon Crescent, Codicote Drive, Gaddesden Crescent, Codicote Drive, right to Garston Lane, left to Woodhurst Avenue, right to Fourth Avenue, right to First Avenue, right to Second Avenue, right to Third Avenue and back to Garston Lane.
Turn left into St Albans Road (no collections), then right to Garston Drive.
Up Garston Drive, circle round Garston Crescent and back to Garston Drive.
Finish: 27 Garston Drive
Friday 4 December – Meriden, Westlea and Eastlea Avenue
Start: Phillipers (junction with The Gossamers; small parking area just before Amwell Close)
Start from Phillipers to The Pelhams, then back to Phillipers, turn right to Fairfolds, then right to Bowmans Green, left to Phillipers and left to York Way.
After the shops, turn to The Turnstones (stop at Robin House), left to York Way, right onto Westlea Avenue and then Eastlea Avenue to finish.
Finish: 5 Eastlea Avenue
Saturday 5 December – ASDA
Time: 10am–6pm

Week Two
Monday 7 December – Leggatt's Wood Avenue and Cherry Tree Road
Start: 15 Leggatt's Wood Avenue (St Albans Road end)
Up Leggatt's Wood Avenue. Turn right to Ash Tree Road, turn right to Pomeroy Crescent, onto Berry Avenue, left into Cherry Tree Road and left into Leggatt's Wood Avenue.
Turn right into Hazel Tree Road, then right onto Oakdene Road, left into Cherry Tree Road, left onto Beechwood Rise.
Cross St Albans Road onto Bushey Mill Lane and left to Bushey Mill Crescent and Northfields Gardens.
Finish: 87 Northfield Gardens
Tuesday 8 December – Garston Drive, Sandringham Road and North Watford
Start: 186 Sandringham Road (Bushey Mill Lane end) – parking difficult
Along Sandringham Road to Balmoral Road, turn left and left again into Southfield Road, right into Westfield Avenue and right into Norfolk Avenue.
Then Munden Grove, right into Westfield Avenue and right into Knutsford Avenue and left into Hibbert Avenue.
Finish: 46 Hibbert Avenue
Thursday 10 December – Tudor and Knutsford
Start: 30 Douglas Avenue (Woodmere Avenue end)
Douglas Avenue, then 2nd left into Tudor Avenue, right into Bushey Mill Lane and right into Tudor Avenue, left into Tudor Walk, right into Tudor Avenue, across the lights into Knutsford Avenue, left into Westfield Avenue.
Cross to Eastfield Avenue, turn right into Tavistock Road, left into Devon Road.
Left into Byron Avenue, right into Eastfield Avenue, Carisbrooke Avenue, and to Devon Road.
Finish: 56 Devon Road
Friday 11 December – Courtlands Drive
Start: 36c Leaford Crescent (first entrance on the left coming up Gammons Lane)
Follow Leaford Crescent (horseshoe-shaped road). Turn left into Gammons Lane (no collections here).
Turn right into Chilcott Road and immediately right into Comyne Road. Drive to the end, turn left into Hudson Close, left into Courtlands Drive, drive past the shops.
Turn right to Goodwood Avenue, then left into Minerva Drive.
Follow the road into Greenbank Road past Holyrood School to the end of the road.
Turn left, go straight ahead to Rosecroft Drive, turn left up Courtlands Drive, turn left into Strangeways (turning circle at the end).
Returning along Strangeways, turn right into Hampden Way (T-shaped turn at the end).
Finish: At the end of Strangeways near the junction with Courtlands Drive

Week 3
Monday 14 December – Leavesden Green
Known as Rushton Avenue Estate and Harris Estates
Start: 97 Orbital Crescent
Orbital Crescent, left at the end by the shops into Evans Avenue, right into Clarke Way to the end, left into Rushton Avenue, left into Harris Road, right into Ross Crescent, left into Harris Road, right into Hemming Way.
Right into Clarke Way (no stopping), right into Summerfield Road, left into Harris Road.
Finish: 73 Harris Road
Tuesday 15 December – Woodside and Leavesden (Haines Way)
Start: By the Costcutter shop on Haines Way (car parking to the side of the shops)
Follow the road round the estate. At the end of the road, turn left into Sheepcote Lane.
Turn left into Queenwood Crescent, at the end of the road turn left into Sheepcote Lane again.
At the end of the road, turn right onto the High Road, then first right again into Ganders Ash.
Turn left into Hope Green (crescent-shaped road). At the end, turn left again back into Ganders Ash.
Follow the road round and continue straight ahead to The Brow.
Turn left into Louvain Way. Turn left into Weal Green; follow the loop, then return to The Brow.
Turn left, then bear right down Newhouse Crescent.
At the end, turn left into Horseshoe Turn, then left again into the other branch of Newhouse Crescent and uphill to finish at The Brow shops.
Finish: The Brow shops
Thursday 17 December – Cassiobury
Start: Cassiobury roundabout (Langley Way), sleigh facing towards Hempstead Road
Turn first left into Harford Drive, turn right into Devereux Drive, across Langley Way into Woodland Drive.
Turn right into The Gardens, turn left into Orchard Close to the end and back.
Cross into Orchard Drive until Langley Way. Turn left to finish.
Finish: Cassiobury roundabout (Langley Way)
Friday 18 December – Cassiobury
Start: Cassiobury roundabout (Cassiobury Drive)
Start at the roundabout on Cassiobury Drive, left into Belmount Wood Avenue, right into Langley Way and first left into Richmond Drive, left into Parkside Drive to the end.
Left into Cassiobury Drive.
Finish: Cassiobury roundabout (Cassiobury Drive)
Saturday 19 December – TESCO
Time: 10am–6pm

Starting at the Sheepcote Lane end of North Approach, continue straight past the shops.
Turn left into Briar Road, right into Fern Way, left at Briar Road and right into Kingswood Road.
Turn left into Moss Road, left into Hillingdon Road to Briar Road, then right onto Meadow Road.
Continue straight onto Perivale Gardens and Briar Road.
Turn left onto Appletree Walk, right into Sycamore Close, then back to Appletree Walk.
Finish: Elwood Gardens
